Did You Miss Me?!

Updated: May 9

Wow! Since returning home from New Mexico in mid-February, my phone has literally not stopped ringing. From people wanting to catch up, to those needing special projects done, to trying to knock out some more items on the honey-do list, I cannot believe nearly two and an half month have already passed. I've completed some rather large projects, prepared for a major arts and crafts fair (which begins this weekend, and I should really be in bed resting up!) and even spent time celebrating my daughters birthday the end of March hiking with her in Zion, Bryce and Valley of Fire (about 22 miles in 4 days!), so I'm just so absolutely blessed to be able to see and do what I can. Honestly though, I continue to push myself to the edge, more so than what I really should, and it has taken a lot out of me. I've been told repeatedly that I really must learn to say "NO" to a lot of these things I seem to get myself into, as it causes a great deal of anxiety when things don't go as planned, or how I envisioned they would. And that sometimes causes me to get into a really dark mood, where I have trouble finding the joy. As my doctor tells me, no good day goes unpunished, particularly after the medical ride we've been on, and repeatedly tells me to slow down and let the mind and body rest. Maybe after this show is over, I'll take her advice!

Speaking of which, I hope everyone gets time to come out to the Corydon Extravaganza Saturday and Sunday, as there are many excellent crafts/vintage/antiques at this event. I've gotten a lot of new pieces done and ready for this show, and keeping my fingers crossed I make enough to continue on this little quest of mine. I'm going to ride this train for as long as I can! See you soon!
