Understanding Infinity

Humanity, in all of its attempts, just cannot reconcile with the realities of infinity, or the concepts of absolute no beginnings and no endings; just constant evolution. It's a concept that the human mind just cannot seem to come to terms with. The belief in God (i.e. the Christian Bible, the Quran, the Torah, etc., etc.) is just one of the many ways humanity has grappled with the concepts of attempting to explain the infinite. I'm not certain it is anything the human mind was ever meant to completely understand.

If you consider that by all scientific estimates, there are more suns in our known universe than there are grains of sand on the entire planet of Earth, and that doesn't even account for all the multiple planets revolving around each of those suns, or that the number of suns is estimated only in the known universe (it's suspected that there could be millions of universes!) one just begins to scratch the surface of the very idea of infinity; of no beginning and no end. While humanity is just a small blip of finite time in the infinity, why waste what precious time we have grappling on who may have the right God, or bible, or answers to our finite existence? Why not just appreciate (or give thanks to whatever God you believe in) for our brief moment in the infinity? Unfortunately, we would rather fight and kill each other to try and ensure that concept of might makes right; that is the sin of humanity.

Finite and Infinite are diametric opposites, and the finite humanity has perfected the greatest sin in thinking it can explain the infinite.
